How you present yourself is an expression of your business. Black, White and Navy, have monopolized the color palates of myriads of working women across the world.
This saeson, try something new with your office style. Make them do a double take at the office integrate some red, green, blue and nude colors into your 9 to 5 style. Don’t be afraid to try different shades and variations to have you looking as powerful as you feel this season.

RED

Red, which also means “Beautiful” in Russian, is an assertive color, seeing the color red can actually make your heart beat faster. It is often recommended that you integrate red when dressing for important meetings and job interviews because it exudes confidence. It shows you are bold and aren’t afraid to take chances in your career.
Since it is such a bold color, it may be best to integrate just a small amount of red into your work wardrobe. A great red handbag may be a good place to start. This is an excellent way to add a subtle hint of red to your professional wardrobe.
If your work environment is not conservative, a great red pump may be an excellent way to add some wow to your 9 to 5 style. There are two roads to take on the road to the red pump, Va Va Voom Wow or Sophisticatedly Subtle.
For a stand out, Va Va Voom Wow, a pair of patent red pumps, will do the trick. Since it is a work environment, make sure the heel isn’t high; in fact a kitten heel may be ideal. Opt for a pointed toe instead of a round toe; it adds a certain level of style to the mix. For Sophistiactedly Subtle, opt for a darker hue, with a matte finish and low heel.

GREEN

The color of money, green is certainly a power color. Not as bold as red, nevertheless, it inspires confidence. Green is a soothing color that offers a sense of self-control and harmony. From a fashion perspective, the beautiful thing about green is the myriad of shades it is available in. There are bold and subtle shades of green and how you choose to wear them may depend on your profession. Light shades of green are great and are tasteful and subtle for a corporate environment. A nice silk blouse in a light green may be a great way to integrate the color into your wardrobe.
While many people opt for navy or black suit, a hunter green suit may actually be the biggest work wear fashion power player. The shade has to be just right, a deep green that could be mistaken for black or navy. A pale blue or buttery soft yellow, would be the perfect complimentary color, to complete your power broker look. Green is also the color of the heart chakra, so it’s also a good way to show you are a business woman with heart.

BLUE

Blue, the color of both the sky and the sea, blue has a calming element; there is just something about it, regardless of the shade that puts people at ease. There is something universal about it. I am almost certain that you have something blue in your closet.
Like green, and well, all colors, blue is available in a number of shades. There are countless great ways to integrate blue into your work wardrobe. A nontraditional way to integrate blue is to add a light blue pump to your work shoe wardrobe. A blue animal print pump also adds a wonderful variation to traditional work shoes.
Since it isn’t as assertive as red and green, you may want to opt for a monochromatic blue look. Commit to either dark or light blue. Then find pieces that are the same shade, it may be best to get them from the same retailer to ensure the colors match. Once you’ve got your shades of blues right, then you can master the monochromatic look with either a full light blue or dark  blue suit.

NUDES

There is something that just exudes sophistication with camel and other colors in the nude family.  Even the most basic items and looks can be elevated to new heights if they are in a nude color. A style trick is to find the right shade for your complexion from the nude color palette. Find a shade the either matches perfectly or complements your skin tone. If you are very fair, don’t get a shade that is too dark and if you have a deeper skin tone, opt out of nude shades with peachy undertones.
My personal favorite is a camel colored jacket. If you live in a city with seasonal changes, invest in a great camel jacket. It is a universal hit. I have never seen a woman that it hasn’t worked for. If you like bold looks opt for a jacket with a chunky belt with a bold gold accents to complete the look.
