In commemoration of the WORLD CANCER DAY 2015 on February 4th, The Pearl Network in conjuction with BM Inspired launched an online campaign inform of a picture contest 'SMILE FOR CANCER'.
As the United Nations decides that the theme for the 2015 world cancer day is 'Not beyond Us', TPN leveraged on that to make the populace expecially the female folks to realise that we can defeat cancer as there have been many survivors of the deadly disease and we will continue to have more people who would emerge victorious in the battle against cancer.
It is against this that Smile for Cancer was birthed.
It is an online campaign to create awareness on the need to encourage people that may be currently battling with the scourge while celebrating survivors.
The campaign/contest which had over 20 contestants got a lot of ladies excited as all they had to do is to just smile, snap and post d picture as their support to the campaign.
The contest lasted for 2weeks and now has presented a winner.》UGOMMA SHAWNTEL EKEBUIKE《 with the higest number of votes/likes
She is going home with a lovely pink price and voucher for free cancer screening.
The first runner up with the highest number of viewership is 》Omoye Okoniha《 who will also get another pink price.
let us all smile in support for those that have lost their loved ones and hope that those in the battle would emerge victorious because cancer is 'Not Beyond Us'.
