Decision Making and Problem Solving

To a large degree, the quality of your life is based upon two abilities. Your ability to make good decisions. If, whenever you need to make a decision, you always make the right decision, then your life would be wonderful. If you always made the wrong decision, your life would be woeful. Your ability to solve the problems that face you. Whenever you are facing a problem, if you are able to quickly analyse the problem to discover its causes, and its solutions, then your progress would be rapid and continuous. But if you were gaining problems faster than you could solve them, then your progress would be slow. You may even regress. If you want things to improve, the best way is to improve your ability to make good decisions and solve problems. Prayer For a husband who is an alcoholic Oh, Lord, you know what a mess this is. I want to scream, but I think I stopped screaming years ago. My husband is addicted. I know it's an "illness", but I'm so angry. I feel like his "illness" is killing me. And, he doesn't seem to care. He doesn't seem to really care about anything anymore. The truth doesn't matter. He'll lie about anything. I think that's what hurts the most. I'm not stupid or blind. Oh, Lord, can I believe you can rescue us in this mess? Can I believe there is hope? Please, Lord, let my husband be healed. Please save us. Please, somehow, let this pattern be broken before something much worse happens to him, to us. Please let me love him with your own love. Tough love, but faithful love, faith-filled love.

In the world of social media From Facebook to Instagram to Snapchat and beyond, it is soo much about selfies. But is that a good thing or a bad thing? One recent study indicated that selfie-takers may form more shallow relationships than those who don’t. The study concluded, “Increased frequency of sharing photographs of the self, regardless of the type of target sharing the photographs, is related to a decrease in intimacy in personal relationships.” But, inherently, does being more selfie-ish make you more selfish? Or does it place too much value on the approval of others? People often rely on others’ perceptions, judgments and appraisals to develop their social self. selfies can present a more attractive image of a person’s life.
