The United
Nations began celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8 March
during International Women’s Year 1975. Two years later, in December
1977, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United
Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace to be observed on
any day of the year by Member States, in accordance with their
historical and national traditions
To this end Pearls Network bring to you an educative, entertaining and inspiring gathering of women from different works of life.

Featuring a hot topic debate on 'MISS SUBMISSIVE Vs MISS INDEPENDENT: THE IDEAL STATUS OF THE AFRICAN WOMAN.
According to the Convener Beullah Marshall Ononye , ”The
event will feature panel discussions with female leaders, networking
opportunities and many more. And, in true Pearls network runway fashion
show, Red carpet reception, trivia, comedy and lots more.
