An Act Of Kindess

All of us are eager to know God’s dream for our lives, but have you ever thought that you might be part of the fulfillment of God’s dream for someone else? God uses His people to fulfill His plans. You can brighten someone’s life with an act of kindness. A Japanese proverb says, "One kind word can warm three winter months." That’s what we all need— any time of year.
Start with a kind word… then move into a kind action. Even the smallest act of kindness can bring sunshine to another person’s life. It can change the world into a brighter place for a moment—maybe for a lifetime.
Here are some ideas to get you going:
  • Invite a friend over for lunch
  • Compliment the checkout clerk at the grocery store
  • Call someone you haven’t been in touch with for months
  • Tell your pastor that he’s doing a wonderful job
  • Send a thank-you note
  • Offer to babysit for your neighbor
Think about it—if each person in the world shared just one positive word or one small act of kindness, our world would be a much better place
